Coming Up
September
September always takes me by surprise…I think it is just about to start, and it is nearly half way through already!
Lots happening this month which I would love to have you join: here is a quick run down.
PRAYER
Meeting at Drakes Mews for 1 hour from 8pm till 9pm on Tuesday 9th to pray for St Marks and all God has given us to do
FIRST AID
We have a trainer coming to take an “Emergency First Aid in the Workplace” course on Saturday 27th September. Our hope is to get a bunch of us trained so that St Marks events are always as safe as possible.
If you would like to be trained and earn the qualification, let Paul know.
The day runs from 10am to 5pm with lunch and drinks provided. All we ask in return is that you agree to jump in and help if there is ever the need!
UNPLUGGED
Our default Sunday gatherings this term will be taking some time to focus on our faith, building a resilient expression of goodness in a divided culture and becoming people of genuine peace….guided by ancient practices and disciplines.
While we do this, I would love as many voices to be involved on a Sunday as possible. If you are open to helping by hosting the morning gathering / leading the Village in prayer / leading some teaching / helping with the kids groups - WE NEED YOU!
Let Paul know ASAP by WhatsApp or email if you are up for something, and what dates work for you.
THE BIG BRAINSTORM
Each month we will be holding one big-old-shebang - where we throw the kitchen sink at it! Full of fun, games, songs, prizes, communion, focus on growing as disciples as a village and other miscellaneous fun. But making this happen definitely requires a village!
The brainstorm and planning session is at the Vicarage on 16th September at 8pm - come along and help make some magic happen.
All the dates for the term are on the Website - check them out and put them in your diary. It is a varied programme to assist us in growing as a village following the way of Jesus.
