We are proud to host a day’s training for clergy and leaders in churches around dealing well with the issue of domestic abuse.

1 in 4 women are victims of domestic abuse.

The statistic is not affected by geography, race, social or economic status, or religious belief. It might be physical, verbal, sexual, emotional, mental or financial.

We believe the church should be a safe place for victims and survivors, should model a Christ-like masculinity to society, should demonstrate Godly use of power, should be a powerful voice against abuse and should be wise in its approach to perpatrators. Sadly, this is not always the case, and we have a reputation for the exact opposit in many cases.

This day of training will equip church leaders and teams to:

The day is designed for senior church leaders and trusted members of the church who might take a lead in championing this cause in their local church.

As a result of the day, we aim to launch a ‘safe standard’ and associated certification for churches across Milton Keynes, obviously designating them as safe places to those currently suffering abuse.

The event is on the 10th Oct 2018. Doors open at 10:00 with refreshments served on arrival for a 10:15 start. Lunch will be provided.
