We know that half terms can feel especially tricky for families experiencing hardship or crisis.
Schools do an amazing job of supporting children through term time, but holidays mean that children lose access to breakfast clubs and hot school lunches. Having to provide several more meals a week without any extra money can be super stressful.
That’s where our “Half Term Bags” come in!
Each bag contains 5 delicious Meal Kits, enabling a family to put 5 great dinners on the table during half term, helping to relieve both hunger and stress.
A big bag containing 5 Meal kits to help a family enjoy 5 delicious meals through a half-term holiday week.
Bags contain the following meals:
1 Sausage Hotpot
1 Tuna Pasta Bake
1 Cool Curry
1 Tasty Taco
1 Veggie Bolognese
Vegetarian or "Just Add Water" bags are also available to order for families with dietary requirements or having to live in emergency accommodation.
INFORMATION FOR PARTNERS
The 5 Meals come packaged individually in labelled paper bags inside a large Ikea bag.
These ‘limited availability’ bags are designed for families in immediate need, who have reached a crisis point and who would most likely go hungry without support during the half term week and for families who definitely need more than just one Meal.
Bags will be distributed on a first come first served basis as orders are received through the ordering site. The maximum number of ‘Half Term Bags’ is capped at 6 for most partner sites. (For households larger than 4 family members please order 2 bags per family - *Please note* this will be delivered 2 large Ikea bags which are heavy and not suitable to be carried home by foot).
We’ll deliver ‘Half Term Bags’ to you on Thurs 15th October and Mon 19th October.
We know that more often than not, the need for these bags arises in last-minute emergencies as crises don’t come with a 2 week warning. For this reason, we'll have a limited pick-up point on Thursday 22nd October, between 10am and 2pm for staff only (not parents or carers) who have ordered but missed the delivery window. Please send the order ASAP, and we'll contact you if we have one available.
