Through projects we have started and partners we support, we aim to make life a little bit better for children affected by poverty while at the same time building a different future where the lives of children are not defined by poverty in the first place.

ST MARK'S MEALS

no child should have to go to bed hungry

Thousands of MK children live in food insecurity, and thousands of MK parents know the stress and pain of not being able to provide dinner for their family.
We provide Meals Boxes direct to children through over 100 local schools, allowing kids to take dinner home for the family and go to bed with a full tummy.
We can't fix all of life problems, but we can sort dinner.

a partnership to end multi-generation poverty

Between 18,000 and 30,000 MK children live in poverty. This obviously affects the immediate reality of today. Hunger, school shoes that don't fit and cold bedrooms are the norm for many...but it also affects the future. Growing up in poverty is one of the single biggest risk factors in becoming a poor adult.

We don't think it has to be this way. Working in partnership with people all over Milton Keynes, we want to pioneer a city which eradicates child poverty within a generation.

changing the world for street children

One of the best kept secrets in MK is that there is an amazing charity based in Bletchley who are changing the world for children forced to live on the streets in Latin America, India, Nepal, Uganda and Kenya.

Sleeping on streets is never a child's first choice, but often because of poverty, family breakdown, abuse or violence many are left with no choice.

Toybox work to provide food, safety, education, medical help and legal aid to children who have nobody else to look out for their best interests.
